KARA

The founder of KARA, Sarah, named the brand based off the word Karaoke - meaning Empty Orchestra in Japanese. Born in LA, and raised in Hong Kong, Sarah realized she was a combination of all the cultures she had been born into. She became drawn to creative expression of individuality and understanding how people imagine themselves free from stereotypes. The brand celebrates multifaceted individuals and recognizing that as a community we can manifest a spectrum.
