While studying in Vienna, Reinhard Plank started investigating the relationship between humans and objects and how people interact. Putting the human being at the center of his designs, he is interested in how individuals deal with personal space. He focuses on hats because he "saw the embodiment of that dichotomy: a hat can both protect privacy and attract attention."
